چکیده
Exporting manufacturers often choose both integrated and independent channels to sell a product in foreign market. This is called dual distribution markets or export channels. The purpose of this study employ capability theory examine the effects two factors, namely market orientation (EMO) entrepreneurial (EEO) capability, on choice use also examines moderating cultural distance relationship between these factors channel choice. A multifractal analysis of Asian foreign exchange markets
We analyze the multifractal spectra of daily foreign exchange rates for Japan, Hong-Kong, Korea, and Thailand with respect to the United States in the period from 1991 until 2005. We find that the return time series show multifractal spectrum features for all four cases. To observe the effect of the Asian currency crisis, we also estimate the multifractal spectra of limited series before and af...
متن کاملMultiFractality in Foreign Currency Markets
The standard hypothesis concerning the behavior of asset returns states that they follow a random walk in discrete time or a Brownian motion in continuous time. The Brownian motion process is characterized by a quantity, called the Hurst exponent, which is related to some fractal aspects of the process itself. For a standard Brownian motion (sBm) this exponent is equal to 0.5. Several empirical...
متن کاملIndeterminacy in Foreign Exchange Markets
We discuss price variations distributions in foreign exchange markets, characterizing them both in calendar and business time frameworks. The price dynamics is found to be the result of two distinct processes, a multi-variance diffusion and an error process. The presence of the latter, which dominates at short time scales, leads to indeterminacy principle in finance. Furthermore, dynamics does ...
متن کاملA Bayesian Analysis of Dual Trader Informativeness in Futures Markets
We employ a conditional event study methodology to determine if dual traders in futures markets are informed traders. Underpinning this approach is the assumption that a dual trader’s decision to trade on her own account is not random, but is endogenously determined by her expectations of profit related to this decision. Therefore, the appropriate empirical framework to analyze the issue is a s...
